Your brain needs exercise just like a
muscle. If you use it often and in the right ways, you will become a
more skilled thinker and increase your ability to focus. But if you
never use your brain, or abuse it with harmful chemicals, your ability
to think and learn will deteriorate.
Here are 5 simple ways anyone can squeeze a bit more productivity out of the old gray matter.
1. Minimize Television Watching
This is a hard
sell. People love vegetating in front of the television, myself included
more often than I’d like. The problem is watching television doesn’t
use your mental capacity OR allow it to recharge. It’s like having the
energy sapped out of a muscle without the health benefits of exercise.
Don’t you feel drained after a couple hours of TV? Your eyes are sore
and tired from being focused on the light box for so long. You don’t
even have the energy to read a book.
When you feel like relaxing, try reading a book instead. If you’re
too tired, listen to some music. When you’re with your friends or
family, leave the tube off and have a conversation. All of these things
use your mind more than television and allow you to relax.
2. Exercise
I used to think that I’d learn more by
not exercising and using the time to read a book instead. But I
realized that time spent exercising always leads to greater learning
because it improves productivity during the time afterwards. Using your
body clears your head and creates a wave of energy. Afterwards, you feel
invigorated and can concentrate more easily.
3. Read Challenging Books
Many people like to read
popular suspense fiction, but generally these books aren’t mentally
stimulating. If you want to improve your thinking and writing ability
you should read books that make you focus. Reading a classic novel can
change your view of the world and will make you think in more precise,
elegant English. Don’t be afraid to look up a word if you don’t know it,
and don’t be afraid of dense passages. Take your time, re-read when
necessary, and you’ll soon grow accustomed to the author’s style.
Once you get used to reading challenging books, I think you’ll find
that you aren’t tempted to go back to page-turners. The challenge of
learning new ideas is far more exciting than any tacky
suspense-thriller.
4. Early to Bed, Early to Rise
Nothing makes it
harder to concentrate than sleep deprivation. You’ll be most rejuvenated
if you go to bed early and don’t sleep more than 8 hours. If you stay
up late and compensate by sleeping late, you’ll wake up lethargic and
have trouble focusing. In my experience the early morning hours are the
most tranquil and productive. Waking up early gives you more productive
hours and maximizes your mental acuity all day.
If you have the opportunity, take 10-20 minute naps when you are hit
with a wave of drowsiness. Anything longer will make you lethargic, but a
short nap will refresh you.
5. Take Time to Reflect
Often our lives get so
hectic that we become overwhelmed without even realizing it. It becomes
difficult to concentrate because nagging thoughts keep interrupting.
Spending some time alone in reflection gives you a chance organize your
thoughts and prioritize your responsibilities. Afterwards, you’ll have a
better understanding of what’s important and what isn’t. The
unimportant stuff won’t bother you anymore and your mind will feel less
encumbered.
I’m not saying you need to sit on the floor cross-legged and chant
‘ommm’. Anything that allows a bit of prolonged solitude will do. One of
my personal favorites is taking a solitary walk. Someone famous said,
“All the best ideas occur while walking.” I think he was on to
something. Experiment to find the activity that works best for you.

25 Petua Penjagaan Muka Secara Tradisional | Setiap
orang terutamanya wanita mengimpikan untuk memiliki kulit wajah yang
bersih tanpa kesan cela. Pertumbuhan jerawat di wajah ibarat mimpi
ngeri. Jerawat sukar untuk disingkirkan dalam masa sehari dua. Lebih
merisaukan adalah parut jerawat yang kadangkala ambil masa berbulan atau
bertahun untuk dihilangkan.

Selain jerawat, wanita juga berdepan dengan masalah kulit kering dan
kusam. Kulit yang berminyak pula kerap menjadi punca kepada masalah
bintik-bintik hitam dan putih akibat pori-pori yang tersumbat.
Biarpun terdapat banyak produk penjagaan wajah di pasaran, tak salah rasanya jika kita mengamalkan
petua penjagaan muka secara tradisional. Biarpun kelihatan agak leceh, namun bagi mereka yang rajin mengamalkannya pasti puas hati dengan hasil yang diperolehi.
Jom kita korek rahsia penjagaan wajah secara tradisional.
Menghilangkan Jerawat
1) Bersihkan muka seperti biasa untuk menanggalkan kotoran dan sisa
makeup. Selepas itu cuci muka dengan air kelapa tua. Biarkan ia kering
sendiri di muka. Kemudian bilas dengan air bersih. Amalkan petua ini
tiga kali seminggu untuk hasil yang berkesan.
2) Setelah membasuh muka, tutup muka
dengan kain atau tuala yang agak lembab. Rapatkan muka ke wap nasi atau
wap air panas selama beberapa minit. Kemudian gunakan penyegar muka.
3) Ambil sedikit kanji nasi dan
sejukkan. Sapukan kanji nasi pada jerawat dan biarkan ia kering di muka.
Selepas itu basuh muka dengan air suam. Seeloknya diamalkan setiap hari
sehingga jerawat berkurangan.
4) Jika berdepan dengan masalah
jerawat sukar hilang, gunakan daun teh. Caranya rebus beberapa helai
daun teh berwarna hijau. Ketika daun masih suam, lekatkan pada jerawat
dan biarkan sehingga ianya kering.
5) Korang juga boleh tumbuk
sedikit bunga melur bersama air hingga menjadi lumat. Selepas itu
sapukan ke muka dan biarkan kering. Setelah kering basuh muka dengan air
kelapa muda.
5) Amalkan basuh muka dengan air
basuhan beras. Kemudian biarkan ia kering sendiri di muka. Setelah
kering, cuci muka dengan air bersih. Amalkan secara kerap.
6) Rendam segenggam beras hingga
kembang. Kemudian toskan airnya. Ambil segenggam biji betik muda dan
tumbuk bersama beras sehingga lumat. Campurkan dengan sedikit air.
Bentukkan menjadi bebola yang kecil-kecil dan jemur sehingga kering.
Setelah kering, boleh disimpan dalam bekas kedap udara. Cara memakainya,
bancuh dengan air dan sapukan di seluruh bahagian wajah.
Menanggalkan Bintik Hitam Di Muka
7) Tumbuk beberapa helai daun pucuk
jambu batu. Kemudian campurkan dengan bedak sejuk. Letak sedikit air dan
sapukan ke muka setiap kali sebelum tidur.
8) Rendamkan sehelai tisu ke dalam dua biji putih telur. Tampalkan
tisu tersebut ke muka terutamanya di bahagian wajah yang mempunyai
masalah bintik hitam. Biarkan kering kemudian baru tanggalkan. Selepas
itu basuh muka dengan air bersih dan pencuci muka. Amalkan dua kali
seminggu.
9) Lumatkan sehelai daun nangka yang agak tua dengan sedikit air.
Kemudian sapukan pada muka yang telah dibersihkan. Biarkan kering.
Selepas itu baru cuci muka sekali lagi.
10) Ambil sedikit beras pulut dan kulit kayu manis. Goreng
kedua-duanya tanpa minyak sehingga beras pulut menjadi agak kekuningan.
Kisar dan simpan dalam bekas kedap udara. Bila hendak menggunkannya,
ambil sedikit campuran tersebut dan letak beberapa titis air. Kemudian
gosokkan pada muka dua kali seminggu.
Cara Untuk Tegangkan Kulit Muka
11) Tumbuk beberapa helai daun jambu batu sehingga lumat. Kemudian letakkan sedikit air. Sapukan ke muka setiap malam.
12) Campurkan beberapa titik jus limau nipis bersama sedikit bedak
sejuk. Kemudian sapukan ke muka. Kulit akan terasa pedih sedikit.
Amalkan setiap hari. Hasilnya boleh dilihat dalam masa seminggu.
Menghilangkan Parut di Muka
13) Kisar atau tumbuk beberapa batang kulit kayu manis sehingga
menjadi serbuk. Kemudian campurkan dengan sedikit air. Sapukan ke
bahagian yang berparut. Amalkan secara kerap sehingga parut hilang.
14) Tumbuk atau kisar kulit kayu manis sehingga menjadi serbuk.
Selepas itu campurkan dengan sedikit madu lebah. Setiap malam sebelum
tidur, sapukan kebahagian yang berparut.
15) Kisar timun dan kemudian tapiskan airnya. Ambil hampas timun dan
sapukan pada muka. Biarkan selama setengah jam. Kemudian cuci bersih
dengan air suam.
Kulit Muka Lembut dan Cerah
16) Parutkan seketul ubi kayu dan sapukan pada muka. Biarkan sehingga
kering. Selepas itu cuci muka dengan air bersi . Amalkan secara kerap.
17) Campurkan kuning telur, parutan lobak merah dan sedikit jus limau
nipis hingga sebati. Sapukan pada kulit muka dan biarkan kering.
Selepas itu cuci muka dengan air bersih.
18) Parut sebiji kentang dan perah airnya. Sapukan pada muka. Biarkan kering kemudian cuci dengan air bersih.
Hilangkan Parut Demam Campak
19) Ambil beberapa helai daun semambu dan tumbuk hingga lumat.
Sapukan ke parut dan biarkan kering. Amalkan sehingga parut hilang.
Melicinkan Kulit Muka
20) Kisar sedikit beras pulut sehingga menjadi serbuk. Tambah sedikit
air dan sapukan ke seluruh bahagian muka. Biar semalaman. Keesokkannya
cuci muka dengan air suam. Amalkan seminggu sekali.
21) Campurkan satu sudu besar madu lebah dengan satu sudu besar susu
tepung. Sapukan pada seluruh muka dan biarkan kering. Kemudian basuh
muka dengan air suam. Amalkan dua kali seminggu.
22) Campurkan sedikit bedak sejuk, air asam jawa dan serbuk kunyit.
Sapu dan gosok perlahan-lahan pada muka selama beberapa minit sebelum
mandi. Kemudian cuci bersih dengan air suam. Amalkan setiap hari.
23) Gosokkan serbuk teh yang telah digunakan ke muka. Biarkan selama 3 minit, selepas itu cuci dengan air suam.
Mengekalkan Seri Wajah
24) Goreng secawan beras tanpa minyak sehingga kekuningan. Kisar sehingga menjadi serbuk.
Campurkan dengan sedikit putih telur, air limau nipis dan satu sudu teh air kunyit. Sapukan pada muka kecuali bahagian mata.
Menghilangkan Panau di Muka
25) Gosokkan lengkuas pada kulit yang berpanau. Biarkan seketika, kemudian cuci dengan air bersih. Amalkan secara kerap.

Sometimes you will never know the value of moment until it become a memory.
People sometimes never realize what have they done to others. They always think they are always right. Confident if important but not in this case. You have to understand the other feeling around you mostly friends, family, teachers and peoples surrounding you. But life is unpredictable. Is their anyone like this in the world. Yes, maybe but no many people like that. Nowadays peoples are selfish. Doesn't care anything about people around them.
True friend is someone that always being together in happiness and sadness time. A true friend is someone who understands your past, believes in future, and accepts you just the way you are.
Many people say they understand their friend but the truth is they are
not. Anywhere we go, we meet different people, different attitude,
different interest. Well this is what we call life. Anything can happen
in one day. Some friends come into your life for a reason.

Good news for anyone who likes chocolate with their
coffee: A surprising new study from Tel Aviv University found that dieters who
include a small dessert item as part of a
balanced
breakfast will lose more weight, and keep it off in the long run
better, as compared to dieters who take a more traditional approach.
In the study published in the journal
Steroids, researchers followed two groups of overweight or
obese people for 32-weeks, with all participants instructed to stick to 1,600-calorie
diet for men and 1,400-calorie diet for women. The first group ate a low-carb
300-calorie breakfast daily, while the second group had a 600-calorie morning
meal, high in protein and carbohydrates and always including a dessert item
such as
chocolate.
Halfway through the study, both groups lost an average of 33 pounds per person.
But it wasn’t until the second 16-week period that things got really
interesting.
At the end of the second 16-weeks, the low-carb group
actually
regained 22 pounds per person, but the group who
was eating a larger breakfast with sweets lost an additional 15 pounds each.
All in all, the chocolate-eaters lost an average of 40 pounds more per person
than the other peer group.
The thought is that cutting out sweets entirely
— as the low-carb group was supposed to do — creates a
psychological addiction to those foods. Allowing for a small piece of cake, a
cookie, or some chocolate at the beginning of the day when the dieters’
metabolism is highest allowed dieters to feel like they weren’t deprived, even
when they stuck to a reduced-calorie diet.
So is it the larger calorie intake in the morning, or the
sweets that mattered most? In the past, research results on the benefits of
larger breakfasts have been mixed. A recent study published in
Nutrition
Journal found that people eat the same amount at lunch and dinner,
regardless of what they have for breakfast, suggesting that large breakfasts
can actually add up to weight
gain. These findings reinforce
the idea that it’s not what you eat, but how much, that matters most for weight
loss. Similarly, a
study
published last month in the
American Journal of Clinical
Nutrition concluded that the strongest predictor for weight loss is
how faithfully dieters stick to low-calorie plans, not the composition of their
diets.
So what it comes down to is this: If a slice of cake in
the morning will help you feel less deprived and allow you to stick to your
diet more faithfully for the rest of the day, go for it. Just stick to one
slice, and skip after-dinner dessert.
